The King's Arms, Dorking, August 26th.

The band is playing at the King's Arm's in Dorking tonight (26th August). The last time we played there, on June 24th, we had to play in the back bar area as the front bar was full of England football supporters watching England lose on penalties again. Hopefully we'll be back in the front bar tonight.

Poytz Arms, East Molesey, 17th August

Another good gig (if a little hot and steamy) at the Poyntz Arms. Two more gig dates, added to the one we already had. Thanks to Monster Raving Loony Party member 'Chinners' for organising all the gigs. Thanks also to Patrick Quirke (bass) for the Fluke teapot! Next gig is at the King's Arms in Dorking on Sunday 26th August.

The Poyntz Arms, August 17th.

Looking forward to our gig at the Poyntz Arms, East Molesey on Friday 17th August. One of the band's favourite venues.

Hi Chris,
Really enjoyed the selection of 60s faves that Fluke played at the South London Swimming Club party last Friday at Tooting Bec Lido. Thanks so much for letting me get up and sing “Gimme Some Lovin” and “It’s All Over Now” with you. See you there next year!
Tom x

'Aqua' Fluke (with Tom Robinson) at the Tooting Lido, 6th July

One of the best gigs of the year for Fluke. Beautiful setting and weather, good sound, good food and Tom Robinson joining the band. We got talking to Tom before the gig and he was keen to get up and sing a few numbers with the band, so in the second set we invited him up and he sang three numbers. He's still got a great voice and is a genuinely nice guy. Perhaps he'll join us again next year when we play at the Lido, as the South London Swimming Club want to book us for their next summer party.

Fluke At The Pool, Tooting Bec Lido, 6th July

Our next gig is at the Tooting Lido on the 6th July. This is the annual private party for the South London Swimming Club. Some tickets still available. Speedos at the ready.

The Horns, Crondall, 30th June

A good gig at the Horns on Saturday. Pictured are, on the left, Tommy O'donnell (drums) and Patrick Quirke (bass). The landlord (John Staniland) entertained us all after the gig by playing a selection of his favourite records and revealing a hidden talent for singing. Next time we'll get him up to do a number or two.

The Horns, Crondall, 30th June

Looking forward to our gig at the Horns in Crondall on Saturday. Tommy O'donnell will be making a welcome appearance on drums. Tommy is an original member of Fluke. Tommy has recently been playing with Gallagher & Lyle on their reunion tour.

The King's Arms, Dorking, Sunday 24th June

Arrived at the King's Arms to find the pub full of England football supporters watching the big game. No room in the front bar for the band so we set up in the restaurant area at the back of the pub. It turned out to a good night for the band, if not for England. Russell and Martin suffered the agony of watching England in the pub kitchen between sets.

The Fox & Hounds, Church Crookham, 27th April 2012

One of the best gigs we've had at the Fox & Hounds. Very busy night. Unfortunately it's likely to be the last time that Chris and Melanie will be landlords of the pub. They're moving on to pursue other interests. Hopefully the new landlords will carry on having live music. Our next gig there is on the 13th July.

The Swan gigs, April 20th & 21st, 2012

Two gigs last weekend, both at pubs called the Swan. On Friday night we played at the Swan in Hampton Wick, which turned out to be a very good gig considering that we had never met the dep drummer before. Jon Coulson stepped in at the last minute and did a great job for us. A good crowd and Brian, the new landlord, was very pleased with the gig. On Saturday night we played at the Swan in Farnborough (right next to the famous airfield). We've played there quite few times before and you never quite know what sort of crowd is going to turn up. Usually it's a mixture of young and not so young. Saturday seemed to be full of very young things. One of them, in a rather fetching blue dress and dark blue beret kept exposing a rather pert backside to all and sundry all evening. Unfortunately for the band it was of the male variety so we didn't show much (any!) interest. Next Friday we're playing at the Fox & Hounds in Church Crookham, near Fleet, usually a very good gig.

The Horns, Crondall, April 14th

A very good gig at the Horns in Crondall last Saturday. The pub was hosting a 'Plenty of Fish' (dating site) meeting so there were a lot of ladies and gents looking for that 'special' person. I didn't see much pairing off though, perhaps the band were too much of a distraction. Many thanks to guest drummer Nigel Appleton and guest singer/guitarist Chris Moy, both did an excellent job.

Fluke news.

We're playing at the Horns in Crondall again on the 14th April, unfortunately Martin can't make it so we'll be playing with a dep singer/guitarist, Chris Moy. The last time we played at the Horns it was snowing (see photo of Martin) and people didn't venture out for fear of being stranded in the snow. We had quite a hazardous drive back to London after the gig. Recent gigs include the Broadway Club, Fleet, the United Services Club, Fleet, The Swan, Kingston and last night's gig at the King's Head in Shepperton. All good gigs. Upcoming gigs include the Swan in Hampton Wick & Farnborough, the Barley Mow, Shepperton, the Rowbarge, Guildford, a Jubilee street party in Wandsworth and a party gig for the South London Swimming Club at the Tooting Bec Lido. Details of all our gigs on the main website.

The Horns, Crondall, 4th February.

Our next gig is at the Horns in Crondall on Saturday 4th February. A new venue for the band, and some new songs too.
Good gig at the Falkners Arms on the 28th January. Nice venue. We now have two new fans, Robin and Anne, seen below at the post gig smokers convention with Patrick and Martin.
